SOLDIERS FIND, BLOW UP BOMB MAKER'S STASH
| September 6, 2005 FORWARD OPERATING BASE KALSU, Iraq -- Soldiers of the 2nd Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, 155th Brigade Combat Team, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward) discovered an improvised explosive device making cache north of Forward Operating Base Kalsu Sept. 4. Items seized and subsequently destroyed included 122 mm artillery round, 82 mm mortar rounds and spools of electrical wire. The 155th BCT is a U.S. Army unit assigned to II Marine Expeditionary Force (Fwd) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. |
