U.S. GRUNTS NIX AMBUSH, ARREST 8
| September 3, 2005 TIKRIT, Iraq -- Task Force Liberty Soldiers stopped an imminent ambush in Ad Duluiyah Sept. 2 and detained the four would-be attackers. Soldiers identified the ambush and called in attack helicopters to provide support, which caused the attackers to surrender. During questioning, the detainees provided the location of four more terrorists, who were also subsequently detained, in Ad Duluiyah. |
